Ivy Tech curriculum details

  • Students who complete this 2+2 may transfer to IUPUI for the Bachelor of General Studies and also take classes to apply for admission to the Department of Library and Information Science to earn a Masters in Library Science.

IUPUI curriculum details

  • Maximum of 60 Community College credits may be applied toward the IUPUI degree.

Remaining IUPUI curriculum

The Bachelor of General Studies requires a total of 120 credits, including those transferred from the Ivy Tech Library Technical Assistant Program.

An Ivy Tech student who completed 60 hours, including the 30 hours of General Education Core, needs the following hours at IUPUI:

  • 18 hours (c- or better) in an area of concentration (Arts & Sciences, Social Sciences, or Life & Physical Science).
  • An additional 21 credits from the School of Liberal Arts and School of Science.
  • 21 hours of General Electives.
