Make a Successful Transfer to IUPUI

What are IUPUIā€™s admissions requirements?

  • If you are admissible from high school or you have more than 26 hours of transfer work completed after high school graduation, you must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale and be eligible to return to your previous college.
  • If you do not have a 2.0 grade point average or you are not eligible to return to your former school, you must sit out for one regular semester.

Remember that some majors and programs at IUPUI require greater than a 2.0 GPA and/or a separate application after you are admitted to the university. If you are in the US on a non-immigrant visa, visit the Office of International Affairs to review the admissions criteria and apply.

You must provide a high school transcript as well as transcripts of your college coursework. If you are not admissible from high school, you are expected to complete a total of 26 transfer credit hours after high school graduation with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0.

Ivy Tech was very supportive. They had workshops about transferring, where the Passport Office Advisors came to speak with us. Attending Ivy Tech helped me prepare for IUPUI.
